  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in an analytical role (e.g., business intelligence, corporate strategy, or quantitative research).
  • Experience in project or program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in engaging across APAC markets and cultures.
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion, while acting as an effective team player who can lead efforts across disciplines.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across organizational boundaries, combined with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to take complex, ambiguous topics and turn them into stories that spark an audience.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation-development skills.

About The Job

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As a Strategy and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a diverse range of strategy projects and initiatives that are critical to the future growth of Google’s ad business. In this role, you will engage and coordinate closely with Google’s global, regional and local teams, and executive management.

You will form a robust understanding of market opportunities and challenges, which you will use to develop short- and long-term strategic initiatives. You will provide holistic, local insights to influence global Google Customer Solutions (GCS) strategy and roadmap. In addition, you will lead deployment of sales pilots in-market, and act as the representative of the region on what’s working and what’s not.

Additionally, you will be leading, launching, and landing new strategic programs specifically tailored to APAC’s emerging markets. As a trusted advisor to GCS’s leaders, you will contribute to the success of GCS and Google’s customers in APAC.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic projects focused on people priorities to shape the organization, promoter capabilities, solve people challenges, and lead these efforts with stakeholders.
  • Partner with regional sales leadership to enable strategic business and organization priorities, project manage cross-functional programs, and build strategy to enable promoter and manager career growth.
  • Build a network with sales teams across all levels to capture promoter and customer feedback, and understand the opportunities and challenges.
  • Identify high-impact strategic opportunities through data analytics and insights, and develop actionable plans to accelerate growth of GCS business in APAC.
  • Support annual business planning and resource management.
