Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development/partnerships development, or financial/deal modeling.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Professional legal training or work experience with legal teams for contract development/contract due diligence.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Experience in corporate/strategy development within a complex matrix organization.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, solve problems, and scale effectively across a large organization.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a data-driven approach to strategy formulation.
  • Fluency in Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin to liaise and work with in-market stakeholders speaking Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Asia Pacific Hardware Business Development team that is a part of the Devices and Services Business Organization (DSBO) manages business development for all Google Hardware products as well as partnerships with smart home partners in APAC.

For Google Hardware products, the team manages various agreements for Google's first-party hardware products including Pixel phones, Nest/Home devices, Chromecast, Google Augmented Reality and more. Our partners include telecommunication providers, TV operators, media and entertainment partners, and content providers.

Along with the team, you will manage smart home and IoT partnerships with third-party partners in APAC. This includes first of its kind hardware distribution agreements, product integration agreements, media agreements, and smart home partnership agreements.

In this role, you will elevate our agreement structuring and modeling capabilities. You will drive complex (first of its kind) agreements modeling, agreements due diligence, and agreement structuring, as well as bring more excellence and structure to what we do.

Responsibilities

  • Drive complex (first of its kind) agreement modeling, due diligence, and agreement structuring across APAC.
  • Drive operational excellence in workflow structure for the Hardware and smart home business development team across APAC.
  • Work cross-functionally within the Leadership team to secure support for plans and execute against objectives.
  • Manage Hardware and smart home partnerships with various external stakeholders (e.g., telcos, TV operators, media and entertainment partners, and third-party manufacturers).
