Our client is looking for a Public Records Manager that will assist department leadership to provide company-wide direction for industry best practices in background screening. The successful individual in this role will have expert knowledge of FCRA guidelines and the ability to build procedures for gaining background reports from the proper jurisdiction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Public Records Team and lead team members and leads to peak performance
  • Manage daily task operations in the Public Records Team
  • Report on all Public Records activities
  • Develop and track effective compliance training programs, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all Public Records team members
  • Monitor and update Public Records materials in conjunction with legal or policy changes
  • Manage staff productivity while maintaining the quality of results
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics
  • Continually implement workflow and process improvements
  • Keep informed of industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications
  • Performs other duties as needed

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 4-5 years experience in a management position in the Background Screening industry, specifically related to criminal/public record reporting;
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Criminal Justice or related business field
  • Preferred experience in a remote work setting
  • PBSA FCRA Advanced certification preferred
  • Preferred knowledge in Federal and State laws regarding background screening
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Calendar
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff

  • At least 15mbps main internet and at least 10mbps for backup
  • A desktop or laptop that has an i5 processor with at least 4 GB RAM and an i3 processor for backup
  • Note: Back-ups should still be able to function when there is a power interruption
  • A webcam

Salary starts at $6 per hour depending on your experience
