Product Owner (Agile)

Our leading Our US-Based, tech client is searching for an Agile Product Owner (Agile PO) to assist with the ongoing development of our products.



The client is a leading, publicly-listed company that owns a collection of B2B software companies. This position would be with one of these companies, with opportunities to grow within this company, as well as grow to other business units.

Responsibilities:

• Act as subject matter expert and product expert for Housing Locator and other products
• Help interpret business requirements into understandable development tasks to match a final software product with the expected deliverables
• Gather and assess business goals, market research, customer feedback, and other input to formulate product features, functions and requirements which offer competitive advantage
• Understand client needs and market trends, through client interaction and other market research
• Own and create product strategy and roadmap
• Review product roadmap with key stakeholders
• Responsible for setting the direction for product delivery and for providing a groomed and prioritized backlog
• Continuously prioritizes incoming business and customer requests to plan the product releases most valuable to the organization
• Define acceptance criteria for user stories
• Participate in planning and execution of user acceptance testing, triage issues and work with development teams to resolve
• Actively participate in daily scrum meetings, project status meetings, sprint planning and/or daily stand-up meetings
• Works with the Scrum team, DevOps, and other Product Owners on release planning
• Ensure the internal repository is maintained with relevant and updated documentation related to product changes

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working in any software development and / or product development role
• 2+ years of experience facilitating product feature or requirements development – gathering input to formulate product features, functions, and requirements with clients and/or end-users
• 1+ years of relevant Product Owner experience in an Agile, Scaled Agile or Scrum development environment
• Experience soliciting requirements from customers, building business cases, evaluating customer priorities, and creating a release based on business value
• Extensive experience writing agile user stories
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to understand the IT landscape and its limitations and possibilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must
• A flexible style, able to adapt to changing business priorities and respond to new requests
• Professional demeanor, comfortable in client-facing role
• Team player, detail oriented
• College degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Big Data, SaaS solutions
• Experience with Lifecycle tools such as JIRA or TFS
