Position Summary

We are looking for an Offboarding Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the supporting activities of the Offboarding team. This position will assist clients and workers with completion of assignment and associated termination processes. Providing advisory on offboarding strategy to internal stakeholders and related operational and reporting tasks. The offboarding consultant also provides compliance advisory and conducts research to resolve cases and where necessary, recommend process improvements or publish relevant information for internal use. This individual will report to the Offboarding Manager.


  • Be the subject matter expert providing guidance related to any complex offboarding situations.
  • Be the trusted advisor to clients, providing support to end the relationship with their remote employees and /or with Velocity Global. driving towards mutually beneficial and legally compliant solutions while minimising risk exposure for the company.
  • Is accountable for the termination process end to end, delivered with empathy, professionalism, integrity and velocity.
  • Project manage each offboarding case and involve responsible parties as and when required.
  • Stay abreast of latest legislative developments, ensuring knowledge is current. Work with Business Services to ensure the knowledge base is up to date.
  • Assist in continuous process improvement by recommending and/or implementing process and system improvements.
  • Delivers training within the organization from time to time.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to the Head of Offboarding

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • A degree in HR, International Business, Finance or Law is preferred.
  • Knowledge of international payroll, immigration, compensation, employment and tax issues.
  • 4-6 years of Human Resources, Staffing Operations, and/or related experience preferred.
  • Experience in offboarding is strongly valued. If you do not have the relevant experience, but you think you are still right for the job, make your best case for why in your cover letter.
  • Self-motivated, Self-disciplined and resourceful.
  • Clear ability to deliver negativity with empathy and humanity.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, collaborative, and analytical skills, with acute attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Direct contributor in a dynamic and collaborative working environment.
  • Ability to work asynchronously with clients and colleagues in different time zones.
  • Constructively adaptable; has the ability to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and acute attention to details and deadlines is essential.
  • Proven ability to assimilate large amounts of information and apply critical thinking to create simple yet effective solutions.
  • Comfortable with technology; able to learn/operate multiple programs with proficiency
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals/groups, and with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Good judgement with the ability to follow direction and make timely and sound decisions.
  • A creative, flexible, positive, capable, and innovative team player is highly desired.
