We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Executive to join our team in Singapore. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global team, adding value by contributing towards marketing strategies and building up relationships with our partners and customers. 

Taylor & Francis Group, a leading global academic publishing company, currently has a vacancy for a Marketing Executive to join the Libraries and Institutions marketing team. It is a varied position that will challenge you to think differently and play a pivotal role as our marketing evolves to better serve our global network of customers.

The aim of this role is to plan, execute and report on the full range of evidence-based marketing activities to maximize revenue and customer retention with specific responsibility for the Books and Higher Education Textbooks vertical. This role requires active contribution to the team’s, department’s and the company’s objectives. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of our customers and competition landscape in order to develop targeted marketing plans and informed commercial decisions. You are also required to work closely with internal stakeholders in sales, editorial, production and the other marketing teams globally to develop effective campaigns.

What you'll be doing:

  • Plan, implement, adapt, and report on the full range of evidence-based marketing activities to maximize revenue, quality submissions, and customer retention
  • Maintain reports, budgets, and trackers as required, analyzing performance of products, services, and activities carried out to ensure KPIs are met across multiple benchmarks
  • Maintain and develop an awareness of open access market developments, including competitor activities, needs of customers, advances in technology, and professional and academic trends
  • Contribute to developing opportunities for new and existing products and services to improve the customer experience.
  • Actively contribute to team and departmental objectives, as required.
  • Support the Marketing Manager in planning and implementing subject/channel or team level projects/campaigns
  • Develop locally appropriate messages that synthesize global themes for Taylor & Francis publishing
  • Build effective long-term, strategic relationships both internal (sales, editorial, other departments) and external (editors, authors, third party services)
  • Accountable for managing own learning, taking responsibility to identify and develop skills gaps


What we are looking for:

  • Experience in a marketing environment, understanding of the role of marketing, and proven track record of goal-achievement in evidence-based marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of the Taylor and Francis’ products and offerings, the competition landscape, potential partner organizations and market trends
  • The ability to conduct customer research and to focus on what matters for the customer; to apply market change
  • Knowledge and ability with IT systems including core MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Power Point), and understanding of marketing tools (such as Marketing Cloud)
  • Excellent communication skills across a range of written and oral media
  • Excellent time management skills meeting deadline
