1840 & Company is a global managed marketplace for vetted professional resources and outsourcing solutions. Our marketplace of freelance marketers, developers and finance professionals support venture backed startups world-wide. Additionally, 1840 and Company delvers managed outsourcing solutions such as contact center and back-office solutions from a work from home model.

While having over 250 people today, 1840 & Company is expanding fast and needing to rapidly build out its vetted freelance marketplace. This is an early-stage opportunity as we build out our global marketplace.

Summary:

1840 & Company is looking for a Head of Global Talent Acquisition to join the 1840 & Company Executive Leadership team. This individual leads the Talent Acquisition Team and plays a key role in designing, refining, and implementing strategies and processes to attract and retain high-quality talent. The ideal person has a background in global recruiting, performance management, and teammate engagement. They will work collaboratively across the organization to create and sustain a compelling experience for prospective and current 1840 Experts.

This role requires experience and proven performance in delivering strategic and innovative talent management initiatives and executing them at a high standard. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who brings new ideas and best practices to help attract, engage, develop, and retain 1840 Experts who align with both our mission and values.

Area’s of Leadership and Ownership:

Global BPO/Contact Center Recruiting

  • Recruiting in scale within the Philippines
  • Recruiting sporadically throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas

Global Freelance Marketplace

  • Recruiting Professionals in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Software Development.

Currently, recruiting in scale in the US, Philippines, Ukraine and South Africa. Other countries today include Mexico, Canada, Italy, Albania, Morocco, and Vietnam to name a few.

Responsibilities:

  • Form key alliances with organization leaders and partner with them in ensuring a robust talent strategy.
  • Execute and improve upon recruitment strategies that attract great people who embody our mission and values.
  • Establish an employer brand alongside marketing by developing supporting materials that communicate the company's uniqueness and build excitement through the business's employment advertisements, career sites, job descriptions, and other employment materials.
  • Collaborate with other leaders within the business in determining the current and future talent requirements of the business and those needs unique to each department.
  • Build out 1840 & Company global talent acquisition capabilities.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, preference for concentration in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of five experience at the level oversight of talent acquisition and talent management functions and processes
  • Excellent development and execution of strategies, process improvement, culture and system change, performance management, and communications.
  • Ability to innovate and challenge current norms to drive change in the organization and work with people at various organizational levels.
  • Reputation for being a process-driver and thought leader, leveraging efficiencies in the use of technologies, workflows, and processes.
  • A demonstrated ability to multitask, probe, analyze and problem-solve issues with minimal guidance.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Ability to build a high-performing Global team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on key goals.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Experience in Professional Services recruiting
  • Experience in sourcing and vetting global freelancers
