Job Detail

It’s an exciting time to join the SailPoint marketing team. We are a fast-paced, fiercely passionate group that cares deeply about the impact we can make together to accelerate SailPoint’s brand awareness and position in the market. To that end, we are hiring a Global PR Manager to join the #SailPointCrew marketing team. This person will be a key driver to up-level our already existing global PR program—particularly in EMEA and APJ, working closely with SailPoint executives to evangelize our vision, enhance our reputation as the leader in identity security, and zealously promote our messaging. This position will be based in Singapore (remote) and reports to the Sr. Global PR Manager based in Austin, Texas.

The Global PR Manager will be a key contributor to the content to support the PR program, including writing bylines, commentary, blog posts, and more. The right candidate will be comfortable with the EMEA and APJ market, writing technical and business-friendly localized content and interacting directly with C-level executives, media, and external agencies. Key responsibilities include:

  • EMEA and APJ agency management of day-to-day work and activities, helping to ensure each has access to the vision, strategy, content, and relevant spokespeople needed to drive consistent PR results, working in tandem with the Sr. PR Manager to identify trends and develop proactive/creative pitches
  • Track and report on metrics and competitive SOV that support the broader corporate communications and marketing goals for the year, using data from agencies and third-party tools
  • Work in lockstep with US PR team and cross-functionally to develop and execute integrated PR plans to support product launches, country-specific announcements, and reports backed by clear goals, supporting regional awareness on the importance of SailPoint and identity security
  • Build strong relationships with executives and relevant spokespeople, assisting with media interviews and commentary opportunities, including securing interviews via the agency, participating in media briefings, and addressing any follow-up items required
  • Develop a variety of content (bylines, blogs, commentary, speaker abstracts, etc.) for business, international and technical audiences
  • Help monitor and contribute to SailPoint’s social media presence by working with US-based social team to create and add EMEA and APJ content to social media platforms and on the newsroom on the SailPoint site

This position is designed for a bright, creative, and technology-savvy PR pro who can understand ‘speeds and feeds’ and then articulate business benefits from it, particularly in the EMEA and APJ space. This person should thrive in a “tight-knit” team environment, working closely with the Sr. PR Manager and the rest of the Corp Comms Dream Team (yes, a name we live up to!), but is also comfortable working independently. The ideal candidate is comfortable with all aspects of public relations, including a strong sense of urgency and the ability to juggle competing priorities that are a recurring ‘side effect’ of high-tech PR. This person should also be hungry and scrappy, showing extreme motivation to tell the SailPoint story in various ways and from a variety of perspectives and angles to help us consistently break through the noise in the media and help raise our profile in EMEA and APJ. And finally, the ideal candidate will have a solid writing background as a large portion of this job is based on providing solid written work that will feed our PR story on a global scale. Candidates should also have:

  • Demonstrated PR success across multiple geographies, including experience executing product launches, media tours, global byline programs, and reporting structures
  • Excellent understanding of the EMEA and APJ media landscape to advise / counsel on how to best localize content and drive brand awareness
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
  • Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent PR matters
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written (writing samples required)
  • 7+ years of experience in PR or communications, preferably in B2B technology (agency experience a plus)
  • The ability to work in hybrid environments, with virtual being the primary workflow for the team—the right cultural fit is vital
  • A bachelor’s degree required
