Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Law or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of relevant advisory and regulatory experience within the Merger & Acquisition role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of relevant work experience in a law firm and in-house legal department.
  • Direct deal experience performing due diligence, drafting, and negotiating transaction documents, coordinating cross-functional deal teams, and advising business stakeholders and senior management across the Asia Pacific region, including India.
  • Conversant in a broad range of legal topics impacting corporate transactions, including tax, intellectual property and employment.
  • Outstanding judgment and ability to identify, distill and manage complex issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong communication and project management skills and ability to navigate fast-paced and fluid environments.

As a Corporate Counsel, you will be expected to support a variety of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), investment, and other strategic corporate transactions, advising clients and stakeholders, and managing key aspects of due diligence, drafting, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Support a variety of M&A, investment, and other strategic corporate transactions in a substantive fashion with a significant degree of independence.
  • Work closely with Google’s corporate development group and cross-functional partners throughout the life cycle of each deal.
  • Provide education and advice on corporate matters both within the legal department and across Google.
  • Assist in developing legal strategy both on specific and across multiple transactions.
