Ordinary Folk creates specialised healthcare brands that make good health accessible and affordable for all. Meet Noah and Zoey — the telemedicine platforms of the 21st century.
Noah is Singapore’s first digital men’s health platform. It’s an inclusive, discreet space that provides treatment for stigmatised yet common conditions in sexual health, aesthetics, and overall well-being.
Zoey is a supportive and judgement-free platform that empowers women to take charge of their overall well-being, including everything from sexual health to aesthetics, hair and mental health.
You’ll be involved in building the most ambitious digital healthcare platforms in the region.
About the Role
This is a full time role.
Why does a men’s clinic need a copywriter? Well it’s simple. Who really understands all the medical jargon that doctors and health websites try to explain? No one. That’s where we come in - the bridge between complex medical terminology and badums-inducing dad jokes.
You will bring the voice of the brand to life - a voice chock-full of personality, wit, understanding and care. The ability to storytell in a relatable, friendly manner.
You get to write d*ck jokes and get paid for it. Really, what’s more to live for than that?
Jokes aside, we are also looking for someone who understands pop culture and rising trends on both the local and regional landscape, and translates their learnings and content consumed into creative output for the brand.
You know what it takes to make good SEO content, but also know how to toe the line between crude and funny on social.
You definitely need to have a way with words, less is more, sometimes more (key)words is less, but overall your words should aim to engage, impact and help men understand what it means to get the help they need.
You enjoy a little research and sometimes fall down a rabbithole of weird internet information. In all honesty, most of the research is done by our medical advisory team, but we have to understand the material as well, and that requires some reading, in order to distill it for our consumers.
You’ll be involved in building the most ambitious digital healthcare platform in the region.
More about Ordinary Folk
Ordinary Folk is made up of a bunch of creatives, entrepreneurs and tech-driven individuals. We’re far from the straight-laced corporates that you might imagine pulling the strings behind healthcare companies. We represent a new breed of healthcare companies, at the forefront of revolutionising how people receive medical treatment.
Noah was founded in the midst of COVID-19, and in the matter of 13 months, we’ve provided over 30,000 treatments to thousands of patients. Noah is now Singapore’s largest men’s telehealth platform. Zoey was launched on International Women’s Day to build on that growth.
We have also been featured on Channel News Asia, BBC, TODAY, Tech In Asia, Augustman, FM91.3, Vulcan Post, e27, and more. 2020 was a blistering year for us and to cap it off, we’ve raised over 7 figures from prominent investors and entrepreneurs in Singapore and Australia.
