Position Details:

The Business Development Associate (BDA) energetically participates in driving our sales engine and growing our business. With a passion for attracting new clients and building solid relationships, the BDA conducts extensive market research, develops business strategies and pitches, and forges new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is resourceful, organized, and motivated to increase sales, enhance CSG’s reputation, and innovate ways to solve our customer’s biggest business challenges. The BDA will have an energetic, can-do attitude and be comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment. A transparent path to professional growth will keep high performers motivated to deliver.

Essential Job Functions

Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers.
  • Conduct market research and identify prospective clients.
  • Drive pipeline growth by following up on marketing campaigns and leads.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and calls between customers and Client Business Executives and Sales Directors.
  • Assist in the development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
  • Leverage phone/email for prospecting with key metrics around setting qualified first sales interactions and next step calls leading to proposals/pipeline.
  • Independently and collaboratively solve deal-level challenges to increase overall revenue and sales bookings.
Leverage insight and consultative selling techniques to teach customers about their industry and offer unique perspectives on their business that lead them to further discussions with CSG.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with new clients and further our reach within existing client organizations
  • Pre-qualify customers based on company’s business model, current strategic initiatives, and "CSG customer fit" guidelines.
Collaborate with Sales Directors, Marketing, Product, and Services to ensure consistent messaging to customers, and help them gather the voice of the customer information to continue to evolve our product and solution offerings.
  • Create meeting/stakeholder briefing packets for the Client Busines Executives and Sales Directors to be used as preparation for customer meetings.
  • Assist with drafting sales prospecting plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
  • Facilitate a feedback loop with Marketing team to ensure customer and industry insights can be leveraged in campaigns
  • Assist with the nurturing of marketing qualified leads.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, previous experience in a B2B business development role advantageous
  • Experience with Salesforce highly advantageous

  • Proven analytical ability to organize, interpret, and make recommendations regarding response direction.
  • Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
