Our client is a leading Human Nutrition and Health business, and am currently hiring for a Singapore-based Operations Director role to lead the APAC Premix Operations organization, including 4 production locations and regional staffs. The major segments served are Early Life Nutrition, Nutrition Improvement and Food and Beverages, all led by large global customers, many whom are world leaders in food production.
Reporting to the Global VP of Premix and the Head of APAC, this position will lead the premix operations network in the Asia Pacific region to fulfill customer demand ‘on-time in-full’ and against the agreed quality specifications. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of operations, while defining and implementing an asset and maintenance strategy for the regional production sites, considering business strategy, license-to-operate, life-time extension and improvement projects, as well as manage the capital budget made available for the execution. This position represents operations in the regional leadership team and as such, am closely involved in business development, customer relations, business priority setting and regional strategy discussions. The Director of Operations must be able to communicate and translate commercial strategy into operational reality. Regular communication with finance, commercial management, technical marketing, human resources, sales/account management, ICT and customers is critical for gauging progress against goals and expectations both internally and externally.
You should have a Bachelor or Master educational level, technical or engineering degree with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in Operations or Supply Chain experience in feed/food or pharma industries. Leadership capability to lead a large organization, with strong people and coaching skills as well as having a strategic thinking mindset both in business and operational processes will be required. You will need to have experience in implementing strategies and managing complex change and investment projects. In-depth knowledge of business and planning cycle including sales and order-to-cash processes, as well as strong problem-solving capabilities and understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies will be well regarded.
